2. Julliard
Juilliard’s renowned Music Division is the largest and most diverse of the School’s three divisions, with some 600 students from more than 40 countries. Its distinguished faculty includes internationally renowned soloists, chamber, and orchestral musicians, as well as leading pedagogues and scholars. Among them are recipients of Pulitzer Prizes, Grammy and Academy Awards, and numerous prominent fellowships. Faculty chamber music ensembles in residence at the School include the Juilliard String Quartet, American Brass Quintet, New York Woodwind Quintet, and Juilliard Baroque.

The Music, Art and Art History, Dance, Theater, and Film Departments are part of the Center for the Arts (CFA), a complex of studios, classrooms, galleries, performance spaces, departments, and programs that provide a rich and creative interdisciplinary environment for study and performance. Recent annual CFA music festivals have brought to campus a diverse array of artists, including Max Roach, Pete Seeger, Zakir Hussain (India), Thomas Mapfumo (Zimbabwe), Boukman Eksperyans (Haiti), and Boogsie Sharpe (Trinidad).
4. California College of Music
Founded in 1998, CCM originally operated under the name “Pasadena International Music Academy.” In 2007, PIMA became CCM under the supervision of Grammy Award-winning recording engineer Reggie Dozier and legendary trombonist Wayne Henderson, founder of the Jazz Crusaders.
CCM is known for its nurturing environment. Courses are taught by a distinguished faculty of highly-acclaimed music industry professionals who will help you develop discipline, technical skills, theoretical knowledge, versatility, and a confident attitude.
