Being stuck on hold is bad enough without that poor man’s Kenny G wailing in your ear. The City of Boston’s Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) agrees. From now until December 2nd, Boston is calling on local talent to submit tracks for its hold music for the city’s 24-hour hotline.
Musicians are encouraged to send in links to their original music to city officials at the DoIT Twitter and Facebook pages with the #BOStunes hashtag, allowing Boston city hall to create a new “transfer music playlist.” So far, Bostonians seem happy to oblige: a handful of musicians have already taken to Twitter to submit their Soundcloud and Bandcamp tracks.
